Take it away, Casey...
Confidence Is Sexy
Many women have spent much of their lives feeling uncomfortable with themselves, their looks, their bodies, their…whatever. I used to feel that way myself.
We’re never thin enough – so we go on ridiculous so-called “diets”. Our bodies are never perfect enough – so we wear things or do things to try to hide ourselves.
We’re never pretty enough. Our eyes are the wrong color or the wrong shape. Our nose is too long, too short, too wide, or too narrow. Our lips are too thin, too full, our mouth too wide, our teeth not straight enough.
STOP! Enough already!
You get my point.
All that negativity is useless. It does nothing but take away from our lives, from ourselves.
When was the last time you looked at yourself and concentrated on the positive? Pointed out to yourself all the good?
Ask almost any man and he’ll tell you, “A confident woman is a sexy woman.”
That’s right, confidence is sexy. It’s not the color of your eyes, the shape of your nose, or the size of your boobies.
When I was writing Ruby Red Metallic, my character, Alaina, needed to be confident. Ultra-confident. After all, she wouldn’t be a very good car thief if she weren’t, right?
It isn’t just the fact that she’s gorgeous and shows off her body that catches the eyes of all the men, it’s the confidence she has that catches their attention.
She knew the men watched her as she strolled past them, past their Lamborghinis, their BMWs, their Aston Martens. But they didn’t matter. She had found her jewel. A ruby. –from Ruby Red Metallic available at Breathless Press.
Alaina is a woman truly comfortable in her own skin. She appreciates being a woman and it shows. Because of her confidence, she doesn’t think she’s going to get that jewel she found, she knows she’s going to get it.
Ladies, focus on all your goodness. Appreciate your femininity. Walk tall and be proud of being a woman.

Book Review:
Alaina, a sexy hot car thief, charms middle-aged men to gain access to their prestigious vehicles.
Scott happens to own the number one car of Alaina’s dreams, but he’s no middle-aged kind of guy. In fact, he’s like no guy she’s run into before.
Fireworks break out between the two creating havoc with Alaina’s one and only rule. Will she crush her own rule OR will she hang tight to her independent ways?
Ms. Sheridan’s name appears a few times within the story, which rendered me a bit curious as to why, assuming it is an original author ‘at play’ in a unique way.
Ms. Sheridan did her homework on a few cars, creating a plausible sexy thief. I got into Alaina’s character, strong-willed and confident…fearless, every woman’s model dream.
The ‘couple day’ window of time in the story gives Alaina a deeper presence, opening greater connection opportunity, and it works.
The ending comes across with a satisfying little kicker. Sexy fun, entertaining read – once I started I couldn’t put it down.
Thank you for your expertise and insight, Casey. It's all much appreciated and hopefully will get implemented. I have to work on it personally (sigh).
Thank you everyone who stopped by and who also left Casey a comment.

Thank you Kay Dee for allowing me to (eventually) be on your blog today.
I was beginning to wonder if Blogger would ever get fixed. =D
Oh my gosh - I'm so glad we finally see the light (smile). I'm headed off to announce you're here, now that I know blogger is up and running.
It's wonderful having you here today. Hopefully, everyone else realizes Blogger is working for us again.
Enjoy today, Kay Dee
Amen Casey, yes confidence is the thing! It's just too bad we woman don't learn this until we are older:) Guess all in its due time.
Cheers, Sara
Sara,
You are so right. It is to bad we wait so long to learn this lesson, but just because we're older doesn't mean we're old. We're just at an age that we can appreciate things more.
Thanks for stopping!
Looks like a great book and I am also going to head over to her blog. I am a new follower and would love a follow back if you have a moment. Thanks. Donna

Kay Dee, you have the most interesting guests. This is great and the encouragement to be strong and confident much needed. Although a malfunctioning confidence doesn't always stem self-induced, the formula to fix is certainly well received. Thank you Casey and as mentioned you sound a fascinating and well balanced individual. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for coming by, Donna.
I think it's a great book, but then I am a bit biased. =D
Good Luck!
I sound fascinating? Well, Karen, I've never been called that. Thank you. I'll take it! =D
Casey your book is amazing and you are such a very talented author. We as chicks don't always see the good in us because we are surrounded by what we should be and not what we really should be. There is so much fake out there we forget to stop and look at who we are and how amazing we are...
Thank you Savannah! Your kind words mean a lot.
Yes, unfortunately we are pummeled daily with images that tell us what we should look like, but, like you said, those images are fake. All of us are different in wonderful ways and we should embrace them.
Thanks for stopping!
Thank you for the blog and giveaway. I have been a follower of Casey for a while and would love to win a copy of this book.

Hi June!
Thank you so much for stopping by. Your support means a lot. Gee, I sort of sound like a PBS commercial, don't I? =D
Good luck in the drawing.
I think confidence makes the difference in everything, not just being sexy, but have to admit, i'd never thought of it that way really although i see it all the time without having recognized the bad posture, etc as the real culprit.
I must confess that I'm one of those with confidence issues! When I was working, I used to 'fake it' in order to appear confident - and it worked. I like the advice you've given today. And I am so looking forward to reading Ruby Red Metallic!!
Thanks, Karen C
